This volume contains the first half of the great monologues, arias, and ariettas for lyrical soprano from the following operas by Rameau: Acanthe et Cphise (Cphise), Anacron (Chlo), Castor et Pollux (Tlare), Dardanus (Iphise, Vnus), Les Ftes de lHymen et de lAmour (Memphis, Orie), Les Ftes de Polymnie (Hb, Arglie), Les Ftes dHb (Iphise), La Guirlande (Zlide), Hippolyte et Aricie (Aricie). The second half of the numbers for lyrical soprano has been published in volume 2 (BA 9192).
