These fantastic lamps were produced in the 1960s in France and are attributed to Louis Sognot. These lovely sconces are in amazing conditions and with a beautiful honey color. The spherical lampshades are made in curved rattan, the round base of the lamps is connected to the shade by a curved cane arm, enriched with beautiful decorations in hand-woven wicker and curved rattan. An incredibly unique and charming pair of organic wall lamps, a must have for all the French Riviera style lovers. The lamps can be wired under request. Sognot was influenced by Art Deco and Cubist aesthetics, giving his work a unique stylistic touch while still being usable. Born on May 25, 1892 in Paris, France, Sognot studied at cole Bernard-Pablissy before working as a designer at the Au Printemps department store in Paris in 1919. The designer became a founding member of the Union des Artistes Decoroteurs. He died in 1970 in Paris, France.
